Marcy, I might try that. It sounds like a weird combo, but hey, I'm currently using some bizarre chemicals--how weird can maple syrup be??

Tia, I do find that I don't need coffee nearly as sweet when I'm not consuming sugar (other than fruit). Not sure I could do cold turkey--I suspect the result would be that I kicked the coffee habit. And I like coffee, so I don't really want to kick the habit! :-)

Give it time. Your body has to detox and withdraw (I'm not kidding!). Your taste will adjust; I'd suggest maybe weaning off it (might be easier) but cold turkey is probably healthier!

Tia, who drinks her shadegrown coffee with half n half and just broke the white sugar habit with the help of NT!

Just a thought, since I'm not a coffee person... but have you tried maple syrup? You'll laugh... I don't really like maple syrup, at least not on pancakes. So when I tried to give up sugar and artificial sweeteneres, I tried honey on my oatmeal and it was disgusting. Someone suggested maple syrup, and it's delicious and doesn't make the oatmeal maple-flavored. Likewise maple syrup makes better hot cocoa than honey does. Who knows... might work in coffee?

Black=BLECH!!!! I cannot do it. I've tried. And I am enough of a "coffee snob" that I buy really good coffee--my current supply is from Old Bisbee Roasters (thank you Tulipgirl!) Coffee simply must have sweetner and half-and-half.
