You’ve heard of oatmeal. It’s quick and easy to get your kids morning started with this healthy and hearty breakfast. Oatmeal doesn’t only taste delicious but is incredible for our bodies and minds, young and old. My toddler, Bossy, loves oatmeal in every variety I’ve presented it to her. Typically I make it stovetop taking my time and making it simmer for quite a while mixing the flavors of vanilla, cinnamon, fruit, and a pat of butter. M-m-m-m-m. So, so good for the baby. Moms power breakfast looks a little different.
There are times that even instant oatmeal isn’t quite instant enough, especially for mom. Sometimes, those crazy mornings hit and I wonder if I’d forgotten my head along with my car keys in the house as I am frantically searching my purse, while Bossy is wondering why mommy is such a hot mess.
On those days that you just need to jump out of the shower and go (shhh, sometimes there IS no shower, is there? your secret is safe with me ;)), there is the 3-second oatmeal. It’s perfect for thy busy mom. Here is the power breakfast for moms that you’ll love.
The secret? Make your power breakfast the night before so in the morning all you have to do is pop the top!
What’s so “Power” About this Power Breakfast Anyway?
Moms love this power breakfast especially because it’s an incredible way to get your energy. It’s also an appetite suppressor that can be an integral part to any weight loss diet. Additionally, oatmeal helps promotes healthy skin, prevents diabetes, boosts heart health, and reduces the risk of colon cancer.1
3 Second Morning Oatmeal Ingredients
- Cup or small container
- Old Fashioned Oatmeal
- Tiny dash of salt
- Raw Organic Honey
- Unsalted, raw nuts (walnuts, cashews, almonds, etc…)
- Sugar-free dried fruit (pineapple, banana, mango, strawberries, raisins, cranberries, apricots, etc…)
3 Second Morning Oatmeal Instructions
There’s nothing to it.
- Take your cup and fill it half way with oats.
- Then top it off with your favorite toppings.
- Add hot water to your ingredients to fill the cup just a bit over the dry ingredients.
- Cover your concoction with a lid and leave it out overnight to soak up all the moisture and goodness.
- THAT’S IT!!! Now go to bed… when you wake up… breakfast is served.
