It’s a challenge for every parent to get veggies into our kids one way or another. This is a quick and simple breakfast recipe that we’ve come up with in an effort to use all the tomatoes and zucchini that our garden provides. It’s an ongoing effort to try’n use all these veggies as much as possible (check out how I cope with this in The Veggie War — Why & How to Get Your Kids to Love Vegetables). This breakfast provides lots of healthy value to a busy toddler who needs all the energy they can get. [Read more…]
You Love Your Baby … Obsessively So
It’s no secret that we adore our babies. Some of us are slightly obsessed (yours truly). There are no shortages of signs, signals and words that parents use to show their babies how much they love them.
My girl is fully aware just how tripped up I am over her. I can’t get enough. Sometimes, I have to remind myself that she can’t actually tell me to stop and leave her alone so I have to get a grip once in a while. But boy, is it hard to do.
I can’t help but kiss her checks, eskimo that nose, hug that squishy belly, brush her long hair out of her eyes, tell her I love her over and over throughout the day, hold her hand, touch her toes, scratch her back, rub her shoulders. Really, I could go on but I am sure you get the idea. And I am even more sure that you see a resemblance of yourself in me. We love our babies — it’s a fact.
But Does Your Baby Love You Back? Probably Not. 🙂

I love to bring culture to my baby girl every chance I get. I especially love it when it’s easy. I have found a creative way of bringing together various worldly culture aspects into our lives (and I have more ideas to come!). I would like to share them with like-minded busy mama Bees out there.
On a rainy afternoon or when the mood strikes us, we visit Paris through sound waves, Italy through brush strokes, and China through the written word. Indulgent, no?
You can join us too. To start, we fire up Pandora, then, flip the TV to museum mode, and finally have some fun reading and acting through kiddie, worldly books (we act out the stories… by we I mean me… #BAMlife).
Culture come atcha from every direction! Can you dig it?
Here’s how we do it. [Read more…]
Some people are absolutely appalled when they come to find that I co-sleep with my baby. A few look like they might blow a gasket.
Co-sleeping with your baby? Are you crazy?
If you’re reading this in America the word ‘questionable’ makes total sense since the subject of sleep sharing or co-sleeping with your baby is controversial to say the least and is always up for debate by both parents and experts.
If you’re reading this from, just about, anywhere else in the world, you are wondering why I wasted my time writing this, right? [Read more…]

In our kitchen, recipes are a living thing. They never really last too long any one way. Often times, they are reshaped around what my little one is in the mood, her taste preferences, and what I have on hand at home. We like to have fun playing with flavors, building up tastes and textures, and enriching our pallets as we both grow together, mother and daughter.
I decided to share one of our favorite breakfast recipes. She really loves this one. No, really, I can barely spoon it in fast enough. I bet your kids will love it too! This is a fun twist on the plain old oatmeal with yummy spices and wholesome ingredients. The steps are easy, the ingredients as every-day as they come. Let’s get cooking! [Read more…]
Green & Clean BottomsIn a blog written a while back, I told parents how I make my own organic and natural baby wipes for my little one. There was one main reason for my doing so – keeping it green and healthy. I also am a stickler for knowing what is in my products (and food).
Like most moms, baby wipes were a definite item on my shopping list. But after a while, I was not happy with them (and neither was my sweets red, irritated behind). Right then, I did some research and decided to make our own baby wipes with all natural and healthy ingredients that put a parents mind at ease. [Read more…]
