Whether it’s a snack or a full meal, breastmilk is the most incredible (and irreplaceable – sorry formula moms) substance on earth. Studies show that babies breastfed are smarter, braver, and healthier than babies who were not. Any amount of time will do, but the longer, the better.

I have been breastfeeding for the last 5 months and hope to go on for as long as I can because I am aware of the amazing benefits of breast milk for my baby girl. Here are the snacks I choose throughout the day when hunger strikes. Choose organic whenever possible.

Oh, and I didn’t add water to the mix since hardly any of us count it as a snack but, I must tell you, it is a hugely important part in helping your body produce a healthy amount of milk for your baby – so drink up!
