Beauty Routine El Naturallé by Bee
On most occasions you’ll find my face bare with just a dab of moisturizer, a drop of sunscreen, and a smidge of eyeliner. Sure, special occasions bring out the color pallets of smoke grays and brilliant golds but, that’s far from the norm of my everyday life.
On a typical day, I wear either light wings of eyeliner or no make up at all. Honestly, I don’t have the time or the energy that I once did (I know moms are nodding in agreement). So, these days it’s gotta be quick, easy, and healthy so I can get back to being a mom to a wonderful little munchkin.
So this is my Quick n Bare morning routine that keeps my skin feeling young and fresh.
There are a Few Reasons I Wrote This.
Role Model to the Bean
First, I try to set myself up to be a good example for my little one. One day, I’d like to have a talk with my daughter about natural beauty and and the value of what’s on the inside. I am in hopes that when she sees that her mom creating beauty as naturally as possible, she’ll be more likely to follow suit.
Now, I am not at all judging the ladies who like some pop and color on their faces. Each one of us is beautiful in our own ways and I wont stand in my little ones way if or when she wants to play makeup (and I am sure she will). I just want… no – NEED her to understand that it’s her choice to do so. Not because she feels unpretty. Not because society or tells her. Not because she seeks male attention. But because it makes her feel good about herself.
Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number (or not)
The second reason I wrote this, is the age that I’m given by strangers. It’s never my real age. It’s typically far from my own age, actually. I don’t like to subject myself to unnatural and harmful ingredients in my products. I am very conscious of what goes into and onto my body. And while I know I am blessed and that genes play a part in the appearance of my skin, my healthy way of life is something that shows on my face too. Which tells me I’ve been doing something right.
Smooth and Silky Mug
And third reason for this post is, the compliments that I get on my skin. Often, my girlfriends (and even strangers) ask, “It’s so dewy/smooth/silky/soft! How do you do it?” Well, I’d like to share with you my routine so you can see exactly how I get this hyde of mine. From routine to products used you’ll find the steps below. [Read more…]
